Memorandum Order No. 01-2023-024 | End of Service of the GovMail Conferencing Service (GVCS)

Please be notified that the Department of Information and Communications Technology's (DICT) Video Conferencing Service using Zoom will be discontinued after June 29, 2023.

In view of this, we encourage offices that plan to conduct any online meetings to start using the built-in video conferencing capabilities of the existing GovMail accounts (Google Meet) for any online meetings /activities.

Please consider the following in any of your online meetings.

• The meeting secretariat/coordinator/ meeting host will be the one to schedule the meeting and create a new event with a Google Meet session using your respective RTOC/Division/Unit/Section's GovMail accounts.
• The meeting secretariat/ coordinator will have the administrator rights of the scheduled online meeting.  They will be able to invite, share admit/ deny / mute and un-mute online participants.
• Please take note that the GovMail's Google Meet does not have a recording function.
• Kindly stay tuned for the video instruction to be shared by the ICT at the bit.ly/NMISICT.
• Also, please be reminded that this is a shared responsibility.
